After 5.30 pm and on Holidays medical officer is available on call till 9.30 am next morning to provide the medical aid in the Health Centre. Servious cases are sent to the near by hospitals (8-10 Km Away from the University campus) by University Ambulance which is available round the clock Since there are two ambulance with the health centre and ambulance facilities is given to the patient on reasonable rates. Even patients from the adjoining villages are attended to and given medical aid. The patients are attended to the best ability of all concerned and medicines etc. are provided to them usually from the health centre for which we have a budget of 2.5 lakh for the medicines and dressing materials.There is also a clinical laboratory for routine tests like urine analysis - estimation of Albumin, sugar microscopic analysis and liver function tests detectable in urine. Examination of perepherl blood count including ESR and bleeding time and clotting time are also carried out. Even blood sugar in done by Glucometer. ECG machine is also available for emergency cases.Immunisation camp is held one every month and other general medical camps are held off and on in colloboration with Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital. Further medical and paramedical staff are involved in AIDS awareness programmes and Family Planning Motivation and Family Welfare Programmes. |
